Porcelain Worktops
Porcelain worktops are man made. Fine clay is mixed with additional by products and then pressed, dried, printed and fired to make large format slabs.
The slabs are more uniform due to the engineering and printing of the stone. Due to the print only being on the surface of the stone, the edge is plain and many people choose to have their worktop built up to appear thicker and create a patterned edge.
